PLEASE PRAY!
We have really been excited about the opportunity to move to Washington. We just feel "done" with Vegas. We believe this is the direction that God has for us, but you just never know. Anyways, tomorrow at 3:30 Charles will be having a phone interview for the EHS football job. There are locals who are very connected going for the same job. Can we all pray that the interview would go great! I always pray that the athletic director, principal, etc...won't be able to get Charles name off their mind. That God will just keep reminding them of him, and lead their thoughts back to him. You can pray whatever you think will be helpful of course.

Inauguration Day! History is Made-

What a WONDERFUL day to be a part of. I had a great morning, at home, with my husband, watching President Obama take over the reigns. Even though I didn't vote for him, I am encouraged by how far we have come as a nation. That people like Martin Luther King Jr., and Rosa Parks, etc. made an impact that carried far beyond what they could have imagined. I don't think any President in history has had as many expectations put on him as he does. So many think he holds many answers. I support him in his mission, and I pray that America can be strong again.

Blogging vs. Facebook
My sister, Shannon, was bringing up the fact that more people seem to be checkin' in more to their facebook pages these days than their blogs. I know I am guilty for sure. Facebook is just easier. It's like one sentence....Kim is...!! Blogging takes much more brain power! I don't always seem to have enough of that to go around these days. I still do check blogs everyday. So those of you who are keeping up with yours, good on ya. I read it all the time. Please give those of us who aren't real consistent these days a break! Well, gotta go see what's going on in the facebook world! Lol!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME
Well, 15 years ago today, my sweet honey and I got married. What a wonderful day. Our rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception was all at a beautiful country club here in Las Vegas. They supplied a wedding coordinator and everything. I was so blessed by that because I don't like planning all the little details....I am not my mom, nor my sister. I remember when she was asking what kind of flowers I wanted...I just said something white, and pretty. All my years on the softball fields, I never learned much about flowers, I guess. The one detail that I was absolutely sure of, was the man standing opposite of me, looking into my eyes, reciting his vows. We dated for about 4 years before the wedding. We were best friends, both loved Jesus, and were hot for one another. What else do you need? 15 years, and 3 kids later, and I love my honey more than ever. Marriage is definitely a roller coaster ride, that's for sure. But the highs are far more memorable than the lows. He is the best dad, best helper around the house, best ______ I could ever ask for. Thank you my honey for 19 great years together. I look forward to 90 more!

I Won't be home for Christmas :(
Shannon has kept most of you up to date on the Arctic Blast. Infact most of you who even read my blog, live in the midst of the winter storm. However, I needed to update my blog. We were planning on driving home to Vancouver, this year. But the weather seems to have other plans for us. My parents sent some pictures of their house the other day.

The snow is oh so marvelous, except when it keeps you from the family that you love and miss so much. Merry Christmas to everyone!

20 year Reunion?

It has begun, and I can hardly believe it. I received my first notification for my 20 year high school reunion, for next August. Wow, where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday that we were all gathered for our 10 year reunion. Well, maybe not "yesterday", but atleast only a couple of years ago. High school was a great time. I had a great group of friends, and I look forward to as many reunions as possible. A few months ago, I was able to go home and get together with about 8 girlfriends from high school. It's amazing the laughs, and good conversations you can have with friends you haven't seen in years. The bond of high school, ties ya forever, in a special way. Now would I ever go to high school again, NO. Man, it's tough, with the peer pressure, boys, drama.....must I go on. But when you are that age, you can bounce back. I recently joined Facebook, and have been in touch with many familiar faces. I look forward to seeing how many more people make me their "friend" on FB. It just doesn't seem like it was 20 years ago that I was standing in the rain at Vikki's house, while Bette Midlers song, "Wind Beneath My Wings", played on the car stereo...and we hugged goodbye. Now I have 3 children, and she has 2. Wow.... It can't be close to 30 years that I used to go to Colettes house and make peanut butter and banana sandwiches, and watch her dog hump on it's stuffed animal. Lol! It can't be 25 years since Erica ran around in figure 8's singing "Everything is coming up roses"! Has it really been that long?
