God is Love - Rev Run

About 6 months ago I signed up for "Rev Runs Daily Wisdom". I actually look forward to it every morning. It comes to me through e-mail. My whole family loves the show "Runs House." Last season, Justine lost her baby during child birth. The family was such an example to everyone who watched. When the children showed up to see the baby for the first time, thier dad had to tell them that she passed away. He had the whole family hold hands, and thank God for their many blessings. He told them each how thankful he and his wife were for them. They cried and shared their heart, and just asked God to give them strength to understand His will for their lives. Pretty different for todays TV. Especially when you consider the show is on MTV. Over the course of this last season, they have been wanting to adopt a baby. In the season finale, their little girls arrived. The above picture, is the day she came home. If you have never watched it, check it out. Here is a couple samples of what the daily wisdom quotes look like.

Good morning. Before you correct your loved ones you must make sure that you've filled them with enough love, compliments etc... For example: If you haven't filled your car with gas for a while it probably won't get too far. Remember to praise your children, spouses, employees and loved ones! A wise man once said: People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care!

Good morning. He who hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. -Proverbs.... Anger is only on letter short of danger. -Anon. Without discipline, there's no life at all. - Katherine Hepburn

Good morning. I've got good news!! You can choose to be happy today!!!! You can choose to walk in peace today... You can choose to be undisturbed by any circumstance today!! A wise man once said... “You can't control every situation, but you can control how you respond to every situation.” Have a happy day!! The choice is yours...

A Sad Milestone!!

Just wanted to take a moment and say thank you to all of the very special soldiers and their loved ones who have lost their lives for my freedom. This morning when I woke up I heard the devastating news that we have lost over 4,000 soldiers now in this war. That just got me thinking about how I enjoy so many freedoms because of what they have done for me. Spring definitely is a season of "new life", when you think about it. Yesterday, we all celebrated Easter. Jesus died on the cross and rose again on the 3rd day, so that all of us can have forgiveness of sin, and a brand new life. I am "free" from sin, because He paid the ultimate price. I don't mean to compare the two as the same. I am just thankful for both!

Greetings from Salt Lake City!

Madison and I are in Salt Lake City for softball this weekend. It is very beautiful here. Snow capped mountains, a bit cold, but the sun is out. The college team that I coach, CSN is here playing a conference match-up with SLCC. They are currently ranked 8th in the nation. We played well today. We lost the first game and won the second game. That will be our goal for tomorrow, to split again. I mean of course we would love to win both! Madison seems to be having a good time. She is swimming with some of the girls right now. Tomorrow morning we will get up, play our games, and then head back to Vegas. It's about a 7 hour drive! Ugh! Well, I just thought I would post a little something since the hotel had a computer I could use. Kind of boring without any pictures, but hey you have my lovely sentiments! What more could you ask for?

ANTHONY GIRLS TAKE ALL!!!

On Saturday, Miah and Mikelle participated in a "bat-a-thon", for their softball league. It is a fundraiser. The event consisted of 3 separate activites: how far you can hit the ball, how far you can throw the ball, and how accurately you can throw. Each girl would get so many points depending on how they did. The girl with the most points at the end, would win first place in their division. Drum roll please.......Both Miah and Mikelle took 1st place!!!! They both have trophies and certificates, but I don't have any batteries in my camera. I will have to post those later. Charles took them to Dairy Queen to celebrate. They were so proud of themselves, and of course we were too!

Crazy, crazy friends!!

My friend, Laurie, shown here in the above photo, is giving me a hard time. I haven't blogged in about a week or so. She asked me to post a picture of anything and blog about something! So I think I am going to blog about how much she likes food! Now you wouldn't know it by looking at the picture, because her face is so nice and trim. But the girl can eat, and she is not ashamed! Chicken wings seem to be her very favorite in the whole wide world. I would guess that she makes them at home approximately 4-5 times a week. Now she does bake them rather than fry them, incase you were at all interested! Ha Ha! I love to tease her because almost everytime I get on the phone with her, which is quite often, she is nibbling on something. Hearing someone chew, or smack is one of my major pet peeves, so that's probably why I notice her chewing. When it is time for lunch, the girl doesn't just have a sandwich, or a bowl of soup. She grills up some pork chops, with a sweet potato and a salad. I crack up, because even though I wouldn't mind eating that well at lunch time, I would never take that much time to cook myself lunch. She likes desserts just as much as I do! She walks pretty much everyday, to ensure that all the calories don't catch up to her. Well I don't know how interesting this blog is, but I had to tease her a bit, because she posted a picture of my friend, Monique. It said that she was thankful she had gained a few pounds, because Monique is giving her expensive Lucky Brand Jeans, because she can't fit into them anymore. Well, Monique is more than my friend, she is Laurie's sister. So let's see how I can make this pertain to the average reader. Maybe I will pose a question- How many of you eat as well as Lauried does at lunch? If not, what types of things do you eat?

Weekend Away!

I leave this morning with my team to go to Fresno, CA. This is actually a new trip for us. In the five years that I have been coaching, we have always had the same schedule. This is the first change. The girls are ready to play, and it should be a good time. Meanwhile, Charles and the girls left yesterday for Murrietta, CA. because Madison's team has a tournament this weekend too. I think he has the more difficult weekend ahead of him. Keep him in your prayers please!! I will blog more when I return-
